Being nominated as OPA, we rendered below service for MV. JPS BARCELONA
1. Arrangement of customs clearance of ship spares ( weight 250kg) from Dhaka airport and delivery the same at Chittagong port outer anchorage.
2. Sign on of 4 crews and sign off of 4 crews.
3. Immigration and visit assistance for 2 Greek technicians who boarded the vessel at Mongla.
4. Pilotage arrangement for vessels inward and outward movement from Kutubdia and anchorage
Recent OPA Assignment for MT. BEXPETRO I
Being nominated as OPA, we rendered below service for MT BEXPETRO I
Ganapathy Vishwanath, master of MT.BEXPETRO I due to serious health issue, he needs to do sign off from vessel for immediate treatment purpose at about 2300 hrs LT on 10th September’ 2019 when vessel was close to Sandeep Channel, Chittagong, which is far from city area and delay caused due to low water tide time and bad communication in BM ENERGY TERMINAL area. At about 2024 hrs LT on 10th September’ 2019, as vessel did not came at regular berth and area, on signer master had to cross very bad area in order to board vessel at Anchorage area at BM ENERGY TERMINAL and it was not safe enough but our official took risk and ensured the safety of a foreigner at mid night.
Shipping agents made the work very complex by doing the port clearance and kept their lifeboat far away from Chittagong to make the sign on /off almost impossible. On signer master came in national holiday at afternoon time and vessel lying far away from Chittagong close to Shitakundo area. Risk and safety issues were there. At about 1155 hrs LT on 10th September’ 2019 on signer master on boarded the vessel and off signer, alongwith our official, has started from Shitakundo towards Chittagong for hotel safely at Mid Night and informed local police station for their safety. Due to national holiday, we needed to spend more than double, only for on signer formalities purpose. Next day our official completed all immigration and customs clearance formalities for off signer and on 12th September’ 2019 our official took off signer safely to Airport. Master also enjoyed our groups corporate discount maintained with Agrabad Hotel.

Being nominated as OPA, we rendered below service for MV. IONIC SPIRIT
1. Discharge Supervision at Chattogram and Mongla.
2. Daily cargo report
3. Barge Itinerary
4. Daily SOF recap
5. Stevedore activity monitoring
6. Daily activity coordinate with Chartcrers agent.
7. Assisting Master upon request (relying sanre to us in writine)
8. Off hire bunker and condition survey at Mongla.
Recent OPA Assignment for MT BEXPETRO I
Being nominated as OPA, we rendered below service for MT BEXPETRO I
1. Arrangement of customs clearance of ship spares ( weight 5.2 kg and 59 kg) from Dhaka airport and delivery the same at Mongla port outer anchorage.
2. Sign on/off crews
3. Garbage disposal
4. Courier xerox of plans/manuals from India to Mongla port outer anchorage.
Procedure and Challenges: Vessel was at Chittagong for a short period of time as such we needed to coordinate the sign on and off formalities. Crews were taken to hotel and did everything possible to reduce hotel stay period as such advised owners to arrange air tickets accordingly. Time and contingency management policy have been applied. We arranged transportation and food for sea and land as well. On signers came based on our OK to board. Here at Chittagong some agents charge to OPA. Therefore, we did following for this vessels crew sign on -off-
– Speed boat arrangement
– Land transportation
– Hotel ( secured but within budget)
– Sign on/ off formalities
– Immigration assistance- Ok to board issuance.
